"This job has been given to me to do. Therefore, it is a gift. Therefore, it is a privilege. Therefore, it is an offering I may make to God. Therefore, it is to be done gladly, if it is done for Him. Here, not somewhere else, I may learn God's way. In this job, not in some other, God looks for faithfulness." (Elisabeth Elliot)

My Morning Transformation: Day One

5:00 AM -- I woke up feeling refreshed after having six hours of straight sleep.  Walked in to the nursery and gently woke Sammy up, changed his diaper and put on a new outfit for the day and nursed him to sleep.  Returned him to his crib and watched him return to a restful sleep.
5:30 AM -- Drank a glass of water and pumped other side, made Sammy a few frozen Soothie paci's for later in the day in case Daddy needs them (great teething tip from my sister-in-law).
5:45 AM -- Jogged from our house to the park nearby.  It was still dark outside so I was guided by the street lights and the moon kept me company.  I made my way around the small pond and then headed back home.  Compared to previous jogs, my post-baby hips did not hurt.  (Hurray!)
6:15 AM -- Returned home to find both of my men still peacefully asleep.  Drank another glass of water and took my shower, ironed my clothes, and assembled Sammy's cloth diapers for the day for Daddy day care.
6:45 AM -- Prepared my breakfast which included:  a quarter of freshly cut cantaloupe, a handful of blueberries, a small bowl of dry Cheerios, another glass of water followed by a half glass of pineapple-orange juice with my vitamins.  I watched the stove as I sterilized a few items in a pot of boiling water.
7:00 AM -- Pumped once more before leaving the house, quietly kissed my hubby good-bye and watched Sammy sleep a few moments before heading out the door.
7:20 AM -- Took the tollway to give Mommy a few minutes to spare upon arriving to work.  Drank another glass of water on the way in the car.

While I realize this was probably the most ideal morning, I was encouraged!  Some mornings I may wake up exhausted because Sammy was up several times in the night or Sammy may not go back down and I have company during my morning exercises, but that's ok.  I am not going to allow my bought with the "lazies" to keep me from using my mornings better!  I prayed before I went to sleep last night that God would give me the grace to be obedient to the callings He has given me, no matter how the day may go.  Circumstances happen and I'm ready for a heartfelt change in my life.

I will write a little more back story to what led me to this need for discipline at another time.
